LAST LIGHT

This is a self-portrait of the photographer, Ken Delyea, at one of his favourite campsites on Bolton Bay, Lac des Mille Lacs, near Upsala, Ontario.

Ken is a lifelong resident of Thunder Bay and has been an avid nature photographer since his late teens. He has a never-ending passion for the rugged terrain and diverse landscapes of Northern Ontario. His enthusiasm for fishing, camping and hiking provided the perfect setting to combine all interests. A youthful fascination with electrical storms and inclement weather led to "storm chasing" before it was a familiar phrase. His first lightning strike captured on film was in the early 80's at a friend's camp on Lake Superior. It was not a dramatic photo but the result was exciting enough for Ken to be hooked for good.
